Hi there!

I have been interested in food and nutrition from a very early age, teaching myself to cook in grade school. My interest in nutrition started to evolve when I began competing in swimming; I began to view food as fuel and nourishment. I realized that my performance could be improved or hindered based on what I ate, and I experimented to find the right foods for training and competitions.

After college, I stopped competing in sports and started an office job. Though I was still active, working out a few times a week, I continued to eat as if I was working out several hours each day. I was miserable and constantly ached. I knew that something had to change. I once again took a hard look at my diet and lifestyle. Over the course of several years, I experimented to find the right balance, adding in some foods, eliminating others, and practicing yoga and meditation daily. My mood improved, my joints no longer ached. I felt on top of my game again. Five years later, that feeling is still going strong!

My education in nutrition has continued as I became a college educator for MyPlate and a 21-Day Sugar Detox certified coach. I am currently a candidate for a MS in Nutrition from Maryland University of Integrative Health.

As a nutrition coach, I help clients work towards their goals in a realistic and approachable manner. I take a mindful eating approach, making no foods off-limits. I work with you to find the right balance for you, your lifestyle, and your goals. I am a Healthy At Every Size practitioner, believing that health is much more than a specific number on the scale.
